William Harold Thompson Jr. Obituary

We are sad to say goodbye to Bill Thompson, loving husband, father, brother and son.  Bill peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Rancho Cucamonga, California.  He was born on 1957 in Lincoln, Nebraska to William and Elaine Thompson.  Those who knew him appreciated his passion for baseball (Go Angels!), golf and “everything sports”.  He was an accomplished industrial engineer and enjoyed his time in the food industry among friends and colleagues. 

Bill shared a love of horses with his daughter, Mariya and also loved to fish with his daughter, Liza.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors and while mastering math and physics at Cal Poly, he played water polo and enjoyed scuba diving.  He loved the central coast and often took his family there during summer/spring break vacations.   Although Bill was very hard-working, he was easy-going and especially loved spending time with his family and friends.   He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Margie, daughters, Mariya and Liza, brothers, Bob and Jim, sister, Kathy Weigand, his niece, Beth Urlacher and nephews, Kyle Thompson, Christian and Colin James Parminter.     

A celebration of life will be planned in January 2024 for all to share their thoughts and memories. We also welcome you to share on our Tribute Wall for Bill.
