Robert Evard Smith

On Wednesday, December 9th, 2020, Robert E. Smith, of Loma Linda passed away at the age of 66.
Robert was born in November of 1954 in Morgantown, WV. He was raised in Cucamonga and was a graduate of Alta Loma HS, received his higher education from Citrus College, and was a Naval Veteran. Robert was the sole owner of Sandlot Trophies and SIA Insurance. He was a member and worship leader of the Vineyard Church of San Bernardino.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Smith, mother, Lucille Smith, brother David Smith, sister Rebecca Woodward and his grandson Ruben Valdivia. He is survived by his siblings Cynthia Cox of Texas, Karen Bilbao of Fontana, Kathleen Johnson of Texas, Ralph Smith of Rancho Cucamonga, Richard Smith of Rancho Cucamonga, Patricia Herbst of San Bernardino, John Smith of North Hollywood, his grandsons Alejandro (Alex) Vallejo and Alfonso (AJ) Benitez, former wife Yolanda Smith as well as several in-laws, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Robert was admired by many and will be dearly missed. He was an active coach for Little League in several Southern California districts and had been so for more than 30 years. He was a gifted musician and vocalist, an award-winning photographer, and a consistent servant to his church. He had been in the Insurance industry for more than 25 years. He was known for his selflessness, compassion, his wit, and infectious smile. He was considered a mentor by many.
A private ceremony will be held for family members on Saturday, the 19th of December. A live link will be provided to close friends and associates who are not able to attend. Snyder Care Center in Rancho Cucamonga is handling arrangements.
