Robert Roy Obituary
With great sadness, we announce that on April 12, 2021, the world lost a great man, Robert Roy. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend. He served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant. He retired from General Telephone as a Toll Maintenance Superintendent after more than 25 years. He was an avid hunter and car enthusiast. He went hunting faithfully every year. He rarely missed having breakfast with his friends every Monday morning. He kept this up for more than 25 years. He was devoted to his wife of 56 years, Geri, and their three daughters Jamey, Stacey, and Deena. He was a passionate cook who took pride in making meals for his family. He was dedicated to his 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He babysat them anytime we asked—the more, the merrier. If you needed him, he would drop everything and be there for you. He would drive hundreds of miles to help you if you needed him at any time of the day or night. He was not a man of many words; he showed his love through his actions. He will truly be missed. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 17th, on Bob and Geri’s 57th wedding anniversary, at Snyders Care Center at 3:00 p.m.
