Robert Jackson Obituary

Robert "Bob" Dean Jackson passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in Ontario, California, at the age of 64. Honoring his wishes, burial rites have been accorded in Riverside, California. A funeral burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.

Bob was born July 25, 1957, in Ohio. He enlisted in the U.S. Marines and was honorably discharged in January of 1984. Honors include the Rifle Sharpshooter Badge and National Defense Service Medal. He graduated with multiple degrees, including in Liberal Arts, Radio / Television Broadcasting, and Journalism. He was partnered to Catherine Evans until their separation. Bob lived most of his life within the inland empire of California. Bob joined the Pomona Unified School District and taught middle school at Simon's Middle School for over thirty years.

Bob had a passion for teaching. He taught history but also ensured that his education extended into other studies such as writing and reading. He was a teacher who loved to inspire and would use his classroom to show his students that everyone was capable of great things, regardless of any predispositions. His classes were a lot of work for many students, but also, for some, the first A letter grade a student received in their schooling career. Many will remember him as a mentor who pushed his students to work hard and helped them achieve great things.

Besides his passion for teaching and history, Bob loved to watch the newest movies and could often be found at the local theaters. Above all, he loved his family very much and supported them in their endeavors. His family, his students will sadly miss him and many close friends he had.

Bob is survived by his partner - Catherine Evans; one daughter - Eden Evans; two sons - Nathan Evans, Jefferino Siqueira; and numerous friends made during his lifetime. Preceding Bob in death were his parents.
