John Anderson Obituary

John was born in Glendale, CA, to Richard and Ella Anderson (Luppens). He was raised in Glendale until he enlisted the U.S.Navy at the age of 17.

He was trained as a radar operator and navigator. He served in Vietnam with great distinction and was awarded the Bronze Star, 2 Purple Hearts, and numerous other medals. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Glendale to start one of his careers in technology. Several years later, he relocated to Silicon Valley and worked for numerous technology companies.

He worked his way up the corporate ladder to become vice president and president of several companies. John's second career was starting his own consulting company. His services included efficiency training for corporate boards of directors, senior management, and staff. He completed 30 years and helped a large number of diverse corporations. He authored several books and articles concerning increasing productivity and profitability for corporations. 

John was also an avid volunteer. He mentored juveniles that were involved in the CA  court systems and other related causes. John relocated back to Southern California and retired in 2019. He gave his life to Jesus Christ in 2015 and became very active in his church. He taught and mentored high school youth for several years. He also renewed his passion for motorcycle riding and joined a Christian motorcycle club known as the Black Sheep. He served as their president for several years. 

John is survived by his brother Robert Anderson and sister-in-law, Paula Anderson. Also, surviving are his niece, Beckie Riggs, and her children Austin, Georgia, and Caroline and nephew Brian Anderson, his wife Alicia, and son Kaiden. He also leaves behind his cousin Jan Sharp and her sons, Ryan and Ken.

John went to be with our Lord on February 4, 2021, at his home in Alta Loma, CA. He was 73 years old.
