Joe Lewis Mitchell aka ("Dancing Joe") transitioned on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at home in Hollywood, CA, surrounded by a loved one. Joe Lewis Mitchell was born in union to Georgia Mae Billings Mitchell and Morgan "Coot" Mitchell. On February 6, 1938, in Morris Station GA, raised in Morris, GA.

Joe was preceded in death: his daughter Detron "Tron" Mitchell, his parents Georgia Mae and Morgan "Coot" Mitchell. His brothers were Pastor John E Mitchell and Robert "Ball" Mitchell. His Sisters, Christine Smith, Catherine Tate, Flossie Johnson, and other loved ones.

Joe is survived by: his siblings, Sisters: Eva Murphy Omaha, NE. and Betty Reed Hollywood, Ca; Sister-In-Law: Barbara Mitchell Omaha, Ne. Brother-In-Law: John Tate, Orange City, FL. A host of Nieces, Nephews, cousins, and other loved ones as well.

Services will be held Friday, June 17th, 2022, wake at 10:00 a.m. and service starting at 11:00 am at Tabernacle of Faith 24th and Fort Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68111.
