Emily Pate Obituary

Emily Erin Pate passed away unexpectedly, August 17, 2021, in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Emily was born May 2, 1982, in Bloomington, Indiana to Theresa Hawley and John S. Pate. She graduated from Bloomington South High School where she was a cheerleader for four years. She graduated from Aultman School of Nursing in 2006 and worked as an RN in Ohio, Florida, and California where her loving hands gave comfort and support to her patients. Her legacy of caring for patients in their time of need was unmatched and Emily comforted many when they needed it at their most difficult time. Besides her family and friends, Emily’s true love was her love of animals. She adored her two golden retrievers, Abby and Brooklyn and three cats, Peyton, Mrsa, and Lolo.

She developed many great friendships wherever she went and made a difference in the lives of those she touched. Although she will be deeply missed by so many, we will all cherish the wonderful memories that we have of her.

She was preceded in death by her loving grandparents, aunt, and uncles. Emily is survived by her mother, Theresa Hawley, and stepfather, Richard Hawley of North Canton, Ohio; father, John Pate of Fort Collins, Colorado; brother, Scott Pate of Atlanta, Georgia; brother, Benjamin Pate and Jesse Church of North Canton; brother, Adam Pate of San Diego, California; and sister, Katie and Ian Monteith of North Canton.
