Age 55, died peacefully in the arms and embrace of her family and loved ones on August 21, 2021. Colleen was born on December 4th, 1965, in Dearborn, Michigan to Michael and Patricia McGillen. Colleen began her career in 1987 as a Dispatcher and later retired as a Forensic Specialist at Upland Police Department. While she was working at Upland, she met the love of her life Scott whom she was happily married to for 26 years.
Colleen is survived by her husband (Scott), 4 children (Kory, Casey, Samuel, Shelby), her sister and brother-in-law (Brigid and Mike Beck) her brother and sister-in-law (Michael and Dafnis McGillen), and 4 grandchildren (James, Edward, Connor, Lincoln).
Besides spending time with her family and friends, Colleen had a passion for traveling and discovering new places. She also enjoyed watching her Green Bay Packers each Sunday. Colleen had a bright and loving personality and was known for her ability to befriend anybody she talked to. She touched countless lives with her generosity and passion for life.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National MS society.
